Here’s another series of images from the Duke Lemur Center in Durham, NC. When you join the lemurs at feeding time, the ruffled lemurs are the first ones you see. They are bigger than the ring-tailed lemurs, so they eat first. The ring-tailed lemurs try to nab the food quickly and run up the trees before the ruffled lemurs catch them. I guess its no surprise that they look like bandits. I have to say though, the ruffled lemurs win the prize for best facial expressions. It’s a lot of fun to watch to watch them eating!
